Yeah, I’m tired. So this shall be short and sweet. I’ll have links to buying or downloading the album up ASAP, but for now here’s Psyclon Nine with a song from their new album.

Things be happening peoples. I’m finally going to get off my ass and start writing/designing/doing my goddamn college work. Expect things to change in a somewhat big way. This week was (in my opinion) a massive improvement over last week. I attended all but two of my lectures, wrote a nice long blog post and actually kept up with my Entrecard and Adgitize bits. I know I’m patting myself on the back, but I really don’t give a crap.
Now onto what you probably do give a damn about.
I have quite a few EC points. Not as many as some people no doubt, but a fair few that I never really use. With this in mind I figure my hard work should pay off somehow. I warn you, it’s not going to be some 10,000 or 1 million EC giveaway. I’m just testing the water so to speak. So here’s how it goes.
I will have 5000 EC points to give away. If you link to this post in a blog post of your own you earn 5 tickets. Leaving a comment on my blog earns you 1 ticket and twittering a link to this blog post nets you 3. I’ll be keeping track of all the tickets and the winner will be decided on…erm, let’s say November 1st. Day after Hallowe’en. Prizes are awarded as follows:
Yeah, they aren’t amazing awards, but whatever. A few ground rules.
So that’s its, go forth and EARN! If you can be bothered.
Enjoy the weekend y’all!
For those of you who don’t understand programming syntax, the symbol != means “does not equal”.
I was part of a debate earlier this month in an online discussion forum. The thread started with someone basically using the rather flimsy argument of “I was the child of a rape. For you pro-abortionists, do I have no right to life?” Pretty much right away I tore the guy a new hole in his body and then proceeded to violate the new hole with a range of sharp implements.
First, we are not “pro-abortion”. We are pro-choice. There is a marked difference. I, myself, am Pro-choice, but that does not mean I think someone should get an abortion for as selfish a reason as “I do not want a child”. People like that give the Pro-Choice movement a bad name (not as bad as the “Pro-Life” people who murder doctors. No siree). That being said, there are many situations when a woman should be allowed choose to have an Abortion. That’s what pro-choice is all about, that women should have the right to choose based on their circumstances and beliefs. Someone who knows nothing about a pregnant women and her situation has absolutely no right to make her decision for her. Pro-choice does not mean “Everyone get an abortion!”. It means that the option should be there when needed.
Take, for example, a child who has a serious birth defect and will not survive long outside the womb. Would you rather have the mother give birth to this child, raise it for a year and then have it die. After she has bonded with it even further by feeding it, nursing it, putting it to sleep? Or if the pregnancy comes with a serious threat to the health of the mother? Should she have to die because a clump of cells has more right to life than she does? In my opinion it’s people who think like that who are monsters. A clump of cells does not have a family, or friends or work colleagues who will mourn its loss. A fully grow woman with a history and relationships does. And I would always put her above something that could not survive outside her body.
And what about pregnancies that result because of a rape? I know, that if I was such a pregnancy and my mother had to be forced togive birth to a living reminder of that traumatic and disgusting event I would not be a very happy child growing up. Some women are strong, yes, but others are not. Can you honestly say that a child of a legitimate act would be treated the same way as a child caused by a gross violation of the mother’s body? If you can, you are deluded, naive and stupid.
Here’s the simple, honest fact of it all people. Prepare thy pitchforks.
By defintion (both medically and in a dictionary) guess what a foetus is up until about week 24? Are you read for this…
So I have said before I’m not a huge fan of Imperative Reaction, but that was before I got their album Minus All. My personal favourite on that album is this little number, Drown. And given the current state of things given my having fucked up in the EXTREME, it’s actually quite suitable. Here it is y’all

As usual, Lyrics below the bar.
Okay, yeah. The “flat” wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. Namely that it was in fact the three rooms of the upstairs of a woman’s house. And we had a curfew. Somehow I don’t think I’ll be moving out.
Anyway, news. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about certain viewpoints I used to hold. I’m not saying I’ll write about them, I still don’t know if I believe in them anymore. But next week will se a barrage of religious articles, as I’ve had a lot of fuel thrown on the fire lately about religion. The reopening of old wounds and the such like. I’m not one of these quiet, calm debating Atheists, but if you think you can convert me then go ahead and try in the comment section. I’ll listen and respond in kind. I like talking to people.
Furthermore, I would like to sincerely apologise to any and all who have been dropping EC cards on me and that I’ve not returned the favour. This week has not been a good week. It started okay and then just got progressively worse culminating in me getting a punch in the face because, apparently, I was eating my chips…the wrong way. Is there even a way you can do that?
Enjoy the weekend all!
