America vs. Kanye West

I probably don’t need to tell you what exactly happened at the MTV Video Music Awards. Basically it just reinforced my belief that Kanye West is, in fact, an asshole. He’s pompous, arrogant and has no regard for others. The VMAs proved that beyond all doubt. If you don’t know what happened, I shall not rehash it here as it’s is literally fucking everywhere. Twitter, Blogs, the news… Check out here for a letter which pretty much takes my thoughts word for word.

Basically no matter how much he apologises, Kanye’s cred is shot. If people continue to buy his records in as large numbers as they are now I will be amazed. The funny thing is he was standing up for Beyonce….who went on to win anyway and give her chance at a speech over to Taylor Swift. So Kanye basically screwed himself over in every possible way. He was kicked out, lost his chance at a performance. I really don’t see how his situation could get any worse.

Oh. Wait.

Seriously, Kanye? The fucking President of America called you a jackass (by the way, I simply love the way Obama says it). You really have screwed thigs up haven’t you?

Although, loads of people are making a big deal out of this. Screaming about how it was “off the record” and shouldn’t have been allowed out. Personally I think that’s just plain stupid. Just because Obama is the president of a country doesn’t make him inhuman. He has every right to have an opinion, and personally I think if anything was going to be leaked it should be that statement. I’d say his approval ratings just shot up some ungodly amount.

I shall never cease to be amazed at how awesome Obama is. Rock on Mr. President.

   I myself was so stunned when I saw the clip. Poor girl her moment was messed. West was intoxicated and that probably led him to act that way. You’re right he’s really a jerk.
