Death comes on swift wings.

Death comes on swift wings.

This has been a tough summer. And yesterday my entire life fell apart.Death, as they say, is a sadistic bastard. Okay,  maybe they don’t say that, but I like to think that.

This is long, so click the “More” to read it.

Music Monday #5: Panic Lift – Hold On

Yes, yes, I know, another week with the same artist. Shock! Horror! Has this ever been done before on a Music Monday?! I don’t know! And I don’t care. I haven’t been able to find the song I do want, and I can’t upload my own video because of where I am.

Last week, I did a Panic Lift song called Failsafe. I seriosuly recommend that song. You can expect a lot of Panic Lift on my blog as Music Mondays. I really do like his work. In fact, there’s probably only one band I prefer more. But I need a better way to upload their music rather than Youtube, as it comes out horribly compressed. Though, their music is full of “Noise” anyway. Mwaa ha ha. CLick the “More” to see the song. Before you do, this version (also, Failsafe last week) both didn’t come out with great quality, so check out th band’s MySpace for a better version.

So tired…

Seeing things on fire and faces in the walls is never a good sign.

Let me explain. Over the past three days I’ve gotten about two hours sleep. Over the past week I’ve gotten maybe six or seven hours. I’m in an extremely sleep deprived state and my brain is mush. Hallucinations are par for the course really. So I am terribly sorry for being unable to provide anything thoughtful here. Instead, let me relate update you on things occuring in my life. It is a personal blog after all.

I’ve started writing the first draft of my novel. I have the story and basic structure drafted, so now I’m just trying to flesh it all out. Also, this coming August I shall be returning to France for three days. 2nd to the 5th of August. Not too long, and there will be updates so calm thyselves. This time, if all goes according to plan I’ll be going to a concert, so here’s hoping I can salvage something from this summer.

For now though, I bid you all goodnight. I’m on the verge of passing out here, so I shall leave you.

Another excursion with the flock.

After succumbing to the sheeple mentality and joining twitter I also decided to join Entrecard. Fortunately, I see more of myself in Entrecard than with Twitter. I like exploring blogs. Specifically personal ones. But I’ll save that for another post.

I consider myself a man of principle. I am also, in part, a believer in Communism. Or at the very least in Socialism. Because of this I will NOT be accepting paid Entrecard ads. You will be rejected if you try to buy one, without prejudice. Only EC bought ads will show up. Everyone is equal and all that. Furthermore, to reward regular visitors to my blog I shall post at the 1st of every month with the Top 5 Droppers of the previous month. This post will be in addition to regular posts. So if it falls on a Tuesday then it still gets posted. If it falls on a Wednesday then two posts go up, the Top Drops one and my regular one. I reward people who are nice to me.

I did want to stray from all those blogs which clutter themselves with Widgets for the sake of getting new readers. But I do want to feel at least listened to if not appreciated. So the widget’s over there on the right. Feel free to drop a card if you desire.

Music Monday #4: Panic Lift – Failsafe

And so we go deeper into my Music Library, searching for some of my favourite songs. Ladies and Gentlemen. I present Failsafe by Panic Lift. One of my all time favourite songs, by one of my all time favourite bands. To be honest I was torn between three seperate Panic Lift songs this week (yes, he is just that good), but eventually decided to go with this because it reflects most how I’m feeling right now. The other song Hold On will probably go up next week. I’ll leave that until next week to see. The third one, my favourite Panic Lift song will go up some time in the not-too-distant future. But I won’t have three weeks straight of him, don’t worry.

A lot of people I know condemn Panic Lift as hateful music. Those people are morons. I hope some of you actually bother to read the lyrics as opposed to just condeming the song. Lyrics are everything to Panic Lift, and they also mean a lot to me.

Read them. I don’t expect you to like the song. Just don’t condemn it right off the bat as “noise” or “hateful, satan music” (I have had it referred to as both of those). As usual, click the “More” to see the song.
