I’m just asking for trouble.

So, giving in to my somewhat masochistic tendencies, I have decided to go to France again.

Given what happened last time, I’m a little apprehensive. But where I’m going will hopefully have an internet connection, so I can continue to post to keep my nerves stable. I’ll try my hardest to keep you all updated. For now though, a few announcements.

I’m trying to be as friendly to the blogging world as possible. With this in mind, I have a few changes. First on the list is the “Top Dropper” widget in my sidebar. Everyday it will update with the top droppers of the month and links to their website. So drop your EntreCards and get some link love.

Also, if you visit the advertising page, you’ll see I’ve updated the prices for the special ad blocks. Now you can pay in Entrecard credits too, and they’ll get you a whole month on the ad block.

So for now, fellow bloggers (and non-blogger readers) I bid you farewell. Regular posting will continue by Wednesday at the very latest.

Music Monday #6: Aesthetic Perfection – The Great Depression

FINALLY! I find a video that actually has a music video. I don’t have time to upload my own song, so this will do.

This is one of my all time favourite songs, and probably the best song to come from Aesthetic Perfection. The best thing is, that the guy who sang, wrote and recorded this song is also the man behind Necessary Response. Remember that song I started my MM posts with? Yup, same guy. So Seven Became Three – Part 2

Continuing on from last week, here are members 3 and 4 of “The Seven”. I know you probably don’t care about any of this. But I feel like I have to do this. There’s only three of us left, and the Seven was like a second family to me. I’ll make sure there’s always another post besides this. I don’t want you to get bored.

So Seven Became Three

This is soon to become a Featured Article. I need to get together a picture for it, as I have no collection of everyone’s “emblems”.

On Tuesday, I lost the closest friend I’ve ever had. I figured that in order to understand the impact that has had on me, I need to explain about “The Seven”.

Sounds rather foreboding doesn’t it? Well, it was a name that Preacher gave to us for simplicities sake one time and it’s kind of stuck ever since. There was actually only seven of us for about a year, but we kept our name anyway. As an added oddity, each of us had a sort of “emblem”, which will be included beside each name. So here for explanation, and as the only record of “The Seven”, I’m going to explain all I can.

First off, you need to realise I’m only giving the Aliases we called each other. It was kind of an unwritten rule (one I’m profoundly breaking, but Preacher and I both agree it has little meaning now) that we didn’t talk about one another to other people. Most of us didn’t have a family, some didn’t have a home. We stuck together and we intended to keep it that way. Now…on with the roll call. First up is Valens and Preacher. I’ll continue posting two a week until they’re all done. No sense having a ridiculously large list.
